Friyay! Bonus Post (& Announcement!)

I am in utter disbelief that it's been a whole year since I started writing The New Me Lately. The time flew by and I feel so grateful to have this outlet for my creative energy.

I want to take a moment to thank those of you who have done me the honor of reading my early stuff and who have given me feedback and helped me really find my voice. Y'all are the real MVPs and I couldn't have created what I have here without you and your constant support.

Also, a big fat WELCOME to anyone who just started reading! I promised myself that if I made it one year I would share it with my friends and family and here we are. I hope you enjoy the content I create and continue to read in the future! (Pro-tip: there's a handy module at the bottom of the home page where you can enter your email address and receive a message every time I post something new so you'll never miss out!)

That all said, I have an announcement!

I know I just got a few new readers (Hi! And thank you!), but I will be taking a week or two off from regular posts to focus on creating more content and on tinkering with the website to make it more user-friendly. It should be a very short break, but it also gives you time to go back and read what I've been up to for the past year. I'll try to make sure I at least repost my favorites from the year to give you something to chew on until I resume my usual once-per-week schedule!
